Genesys Audiohook Monitor and Codec Selection - What Codec is used to Stream to the Audiohook Monitor Endpoint?

I've checked the communities and Genesys documentation / Audiohook Monitor FAQ but I don't see anything mentioned around codecs.

Is the codec determined by the recording codec on the Trunk Screen below? Telephony > External Trunks > Edit External Trunk

I found some additional details last evening and want to confirm this is still the case?

    Audio Streaming

As soon as the client receives an "opened" response, the client starts streaming audio. Audio is sent as binary WebSocket frames containing the raw audio data in the negotiated format. Currently, we support u-Law ("PCMU") and 16-bit linear ("L16"). Servers must understand PCMU as it is the preferred format. PCMU uses half the bandwidth of L16 and has more than sufficient dynamic range for voice audio. Decoding u-Law to linear is stateless and trivial (lookup in a 256 entry table).
