In the coming weeks, Genesys Cloud will introduce a set of RESTful APIs within the GC Public API to replace the current proprietary methods used by the Collaborate Chat UI to Communicate with the Collaborate Chat backend.
This update aims to improve overall usability and design. Notable enhancements include minor adjustments to font and font sizes for better readability, making it easier for users to engage with messages. Additionally, a refreshed set of icons has been introduced, offering a modern and intuitive interface. The new icons also update the three tabbed icons to align with the latest Spark components.
By moving to the GC Public API, this decomposition lays the groundwork for future features like message threading, emoji reactions, and chat federation. This update will enhance the user experience by providing a more responsive and visually appealing chat interface.
