What did you end up putting in the conversation ID as a place holder? It won't allow me to publish without a 36-character placeholder.

Hi Albert,
Like Robert has mentioned, this should get passed through from the trigger, but I believe you have to define it as a condition. We have been able to successfully pass it through in our workflows. Here's an example of one of our triggers:
If you then add Flow.conversationId as a variable to your workflow (under Resources - Data) and set it to "Input to flow", it should get passed through.

Subject: Get Conversation ID in Workflow
Hi Guys,
How can I get conversation ID (without hardcoding) in workflow? I have a trigger and linked to a workflow to send email notification when voicemail is left. In the workflow, I would like to get conversation data, and in the Get Conversation Data action, it needs the 36-character conversation ID.
Thanks & Regards,
Albert
