    Good afternoon!

(I am going to cross-post this on the developer forums too.)

OK, so according to the first example provided here, you can create a custom button to start a Web Messaging system and use the success / failure of the "Message.open" request to determine if there is a messaging session in place. If so, it should fail and that failure can be used to cause the chat to close.

I have a customer that is using this functionality, however it is no longer functioning. Code assigned to the Message Open and Message Close events works fine, and the "minimize" button at the top of the chat works as intended, so it looks to only be this part that is having issues.

Anyone else using this and experienced issues?

    TIA

    Hi Paul

Yes as on our thread on the dev forum, we've noticed a change in behaviour to the subscribe behaviour for messagingservice.ready event that started about 2 days ago.  We have a case open to Care trying to track down what/when/why etc but my guess is that and your own issue are both related.  @Angelo Cicchitto just in case this hasn't crossed your desk yet giving you visibility of it.

    Thanks

    Thanks, Vaun!

Can you shoot me your case number? I may open a ticket and it might help to reference yours.

We found a regression introduced in our latest internal code release, being fixed now, as mentioned also in same dev-post here.

    Thanks!

    Angelo

Do we know which commands/events this impacted?

Also, which release was this?  Don't see anything on release notes

We haven't released any new feature recently, so nothing in release notes. No impacts to any command & event: if any changes, we would advertise via release notes and documentation.

Thanks Angelo so what is the regression released you mentioned?  Paul raised this issue for one event but we have an issue on the messaging service.ready event that started at the same time.  Are these both due to the issue that you have discovered which is now being fixed?

What release actually introduced the problem?

    Thanks, Angelo!

    I echo Vaun's questions...

Please advise when the fix is in place.
