If I follow your question, you want to use XXXXX and translate that to another number? Yes, you can do that in a dial plan that does a REGEX substitution to prefix the dialed string to a full number. This can be used for internal extension dialing or site-to-site calling. Now, you could also use External Contact to allow selection by name instead of number. As for favorites, not yet. There is an idea about having personal External contact that would work for that.
