  • 1.  Lets be Frank.... How many Certifications wll you be taking?

    As someone that's done a lot of Training on Genesys in my old role On-Premise and also CX Cloud. I'd love to know how many courses others have taken and also which exams you took to get certified. 

    One thing that stands out to me is the order in which people do this, I get asked alot about the order in which to do so. I'd love some community feedback on what you did and it may help others make the decision on which course to take and when!!

    Good Day Robert.

    I completed by Genesys Cloud certification in the following order. 

    1. Professional Certification
    2. Architect Certification
    3. Outbound Certification
    4. AI - Digital Bots & Knowledge Certification

    Starting with CX Professional gave me a good understanding of the platform overall and how it works. Architect was then next on my list to start with very basic call flows.  Some of the topics in Architect was easier for me to understand as it was already covered during the professional course.  Obviously not in details but just for some understanding.  Had similar experience when I started with Outbound as well, due to some of the topics being covered briefly.

    This really helped me a lot during my preparation for my exams.  Hopefully it can also help someone else in the community that is starting their certification journey.

    Hi Rob,

    I achieved Genesys certifications in below order:

    1. Professional Certification 
    2. Architect Certification
    3. Scripting Certification
    4. Quality Management

    I'd like to complete the Developer & then AI - Digital Bots & Knowledge Certification this year.....but now have to renew my Architect (at the least) & Scripting certs as well.

    To have a good understanding of the overall solution I think Architect, Dev & Ai certification are a must in Genesys.

    Hi Rob,

    I'd tackle the GCP and GCD close together since they both cover Implementation and Contact Centre, it just makes sense given the overlap. From there, I'd lean into my strengths and start working towards the next certifications to get into exam mode. After that, review the remaining certs by looking at how much content there is and what I already know, so you can build a realistic learning plan (what excites me😀)

    Everyone's at a different level, so it's normal to progress at different speeds. The main thing is to enjoy the learning journey as certifications aren't always the end goal. What really matters is what you learn and how you apply it in your role. If you're keen to go further, the Genesys Resource Centre is the best place to dive deeper, as it has the strongest training material there is.

    I went to Xperience 2025 and took advantage of the fact that you can take certification exams for free during the conference. I did:

    1. Professional Certification
    2. Architect Certification
    3. Outbound Certification
    4. Scripting Certification
    5. Developer Certification

    The last I took mostly because the registration guys were amused that I already passed the first four exams. They were trying to get me to take the API exam as well, but as I've only touched that like twice I didn't feel confident in that one.

    Good day Robert,

    If i may, this is more an expired certification story :)

    We were given the full subscription (2024) that gave us access to all webinars, Instructor led trainings and Vouchers!

    I packed my whole 1 year (the subscription length) with all the Instructor led trainings. (You need to plan 2 months ahead to get a free slot)

    GCP was the biggest (first), once got it, the others just came through. 

    Only 1 certification I couldnt get then was "AI - GPE & GPR". No instructor training, didnt have access to eBook as subscription expired and also not much hands-on "lab"  experience then.

    Seeing product in action with Instructors, cramming the lab..  it was the best learning combo.  Got it first hand from Genesys, since then started looking for it in all other tech.

    Looking forward to the next round of subscription when it comes.

    Hi, In my Case I took the Genesys Exams in the following order:

    1. Professional Certification
    2. Quality Management
    3. Outbound
    4. Scripting
    5. Architect

    I passed all of them, thanks God.

    And now I'd like to take the rest in the following order:

    6. AI - Digital Bots & Knowledge Certification

    7. AI - GPE & GPR

    8. Workforce

    9. Development

    I took my exams in the following order: 

    GCP-Professional

    GCACS-Architect

    GCCD- Developer

    GCSC- Scripting

    GCAI-Chatbots.

    It seemed like a natural progression as I started with basic system administration then worked my way up to Developer and AI applications.
