  • 1.  Local Presence on Queues with various areas

    I have a client who is uploading lists that have various area codes and they are looking to use local presence for each number. The only way I know how to do this is by campaign. Is there anything that will resolve this issue that I am not aware of?

    Hi Kyle

    When you say "local presence," is it related, for example, to each locality having a code?
    For example, in Brazil, the state of São Paulo starts with 11.
    Rio de Janeiro starts with 21.
     Minas Gerais starts with 31.
    Paraná starts with 41....etc.

    If that's the case, this rule generally applies to SBC, not Genesys.
    If you need to implement it in Genesys, I believe you could create a pre-dialing rule: if code X goes to queue X...... code Y goes to queue Y, and so on.
    In the queue, you can specify the "TO" output number of the sip packet.

    Hello!

    It is more in relation to US based area code. Such as a number comes up from Los Angeles, the number that shows as the Calling Party Name should be from a Los Angeles based area code, but in the same dialing list there is a number from New York, it should have a New York Calling Party Name area code etc.

    There is no post-call manipulation for manual calls in Genesys, so once the agent has dialed, there is no way to change what is dialed and what number will show.  There are ideas to have some post-call manipulation like we had in PureConnect, but not currently.  You can consider using a dialer campaign that would allow you to change the number used for the outbound call or you can create your own dialing app that would do a lookup for the OLI and then use and API to make the call for the agent.
