Hello -
We are still in the process of implementing Genesys cloud however, my security team is asking a question and I'm unsure how to respond and I'm not finding an answer on the help pages. We are using OKTA as our SSO provider and the integration is in place and working fine. I am aware that the communication between Genesys and Okta is one way and changes in Genesys will not be passed to Okta and Okta changes may override Genesys. I'm trying to determine if there is a way to use Okta to pass user changes over to cloud. For example, when a user gets a new name or email, the admin team updates the info in our directories, but it doesn't populate into Genesys currently. Can we configure the SSO connection so that it both creates user accounts in Genesys Cloud and updates relevant information when it's updated on their network accounts?
If this is possible and if we were to do that (automatically update names/ids/emails in Genesys), would there be any negative impact that you can foresee?
Any help would be appreciated!
