  • 1.  Post-Call Surveys on External Transfers

    Posted 12-03-2024 12:15

I am testing Post Call Survey's for implementation in our contact center.  I have a common module created that sets the post call action, based on a lookup to a data table that ensures it is a queue that is eligible for a survey.  The problem that I have is I would like to only present the surveys to callers in these specific queues that are NOT transferred externally. Not sure how to accomplish this but I don't want to present the survey on external transferred calls, and in testing it is still being presented.

    Any ideas?

You can use the Survey Flow to check the call attributes like if there was a transfer and if it was external and use a decision to decide if you want to send it out.

So right now my survey common module is placed before the call goes to the ACD, but at this point of course it is unknown whether there is an external transfer yet or not.

There should be a survey flow associated with your recording policy.  That is the flow you should be editing.

I was thinking of normal surveys.  Anyway, in the Voice Survey, at the top of the flow, run a data action to look for whatever attributes you need like Transfer then check if internal or external and use a decision to disconnect or present the survey.

Thanks, makes sense working on this now.  I should be looking for these attributes in the conversations API: /api/v2/conversations/{conversationId}, is that correct?  I am struggling to find the specific attribute I need.

They should be on the external participant usually labeled external or customer.
