So you are able to get the phone to provision to GC without going thru Poly Lens?
This would verify the phone can provision itself from GC on its own.
Looking at what's needed from: https://help.genesys.cloud/articles/polycom-zero-touch-provisioning-requirements/
Do you have a Have a Polycom provided factory integrated certificate? (Requirement #5)

Hi Mike,
Thanks for reaching out. I did try the ZTP, but that did not do what I needed...
I'm able to get the phone to provision in Lens.poly.com, but now I'm trying to point the SIP registration to Genesys Cloud. The phone is still Non-operational in GC.

Here is what I was able to find. From my experience once the phone gets provisioned to GC then its exclusively provisioned to GC. Unless there is something you can do in the custom settings of the base settings.

Subject: Provision & Managing Poly Edge Phones
Hi Everyone,
I have several Poly Edge E series phones I need to deploy. I deployed a few recently setting them up 1 by 1 by going through the phone registration steps in Genesys Cloud Phone Management & logging into the phone's UI. The phones UI is very limited on what you can configure.
Currently I'm trying to use the Poly Lens (lens.poly.com) for provisioning, so I can built a template to customize the setting I want on the phones and use point the SIP registration in Genesys Cloud. I am able to get the phone to provision in Poly Lens but the phone is Non-operational in Genesys.
I've followed Genesys support's directions to use ZTP on the poly phones, but that just wipes out the connection to Poly Lens.
I want to be able to set certain settings on these phone similar to how I did with our soon to be ending Avaya platform. I see that I can do this in Poly Lens.
Goal:
- Use Poly Lens to configure & provision phones
- Use Genesys cloud for SIP registration
Has anyone tried this?
I do see in the App Foundry an option for Poly IP phone management. Does any one have experience with that?
Thank you,
-Tim
