I can see the new API calls under the preview section on the API Explorer.  But when you try to use them, it says they are not ready yet.

Is there any update on this? If we are to have our migration done by the 1st of August, we need to be able to test asap.

Hi Isla, thank you. Would it be possible to test the endpoints using real data? We're thinking of a controlled test involving a limited group of orgs, which would allow us to validate the accuracy of the extracted data under realistic conditions.

At this time we can only provide mock data. We plan to update the data to align with direct, indirect and reseller scenarios and then later real production data for you to test. The Partner Billing Usage API is intended for Genesys Partner companies to create systems for customer billing of Genesys Cloud users, devices and resources, and AppFoundry applications. The replacement of the Billing System requires us to replace the API.

The new API will have a much richer data set for consumers to see their contracts, subscriptions, rate plans, invoices, quantity commits, balances, drawdown units and overages by billing period all in the same API.

Change Impact:

Customers and Partners consuming the API will need to cut-over to a replacement API by August 1st 2025, in order to continue customer billings.

The API will be functioning and ready for customer development by May 1st, allowing for 90 days to make the change. We want to provide as much information as early as possible for you to plan the development work.

Description:

Genesys Cloud is transitioning to a new billing system. As a result, the Partner Billing Usage API will be replaced. We are taking this opportunity to future-proof the API for a better customer experience.

You are impacted if this use cases apply to you:

• You are a Genesys Cloud partner using the Partner Billing Usage API to monitor customer usage and generate invoices based on the API data.

Prepare for change. Ensure that your development and operational teams are prepared to adapt to the new billing infrastructure.

The End Points, Example Outputs and Schema are now available for end users to review and plan for development work. The API will be replaced on August 1st 2025, so it is important to pre-plan the work required. End-Users will be able to connect to a Development version from 1st May 2025.
