There have been several enhancements since the post you referred to, so my gut is saying this is likely to be a different issue or bug.
As soon as the team receives the support ticket, we'll be able to begin the investigation process and understand the problem.

We are seeing an issue with time-off activities (with no paid or work time associated with them) being removed from agent schedules when an intraday reschedule is run to apply a new forecast and see updated staffing/coverage needs and differentials (where we are selecting all options to not affect shift start time, daily paid time, weekly paid time, and manually modified shifts).
I saw that an issue similar to this was mentioned previously in the below thread with a fix that was to be applied. Let me know if the issue we are describing needs to be submitted as a support case to be looked into further, or if we need to submit this to the Ideas portal as a future suggestion to allow re-forecasting to be conducted without schedule changes being made:
