Piggybacking on Sam's response, until custom attributes can be searched via the performance views, our team is writing Salesforce attributes like this in the External Tag field.
For example, given we are using the Salesforce External Routing package to route Salesforce web messages through Genesys, we are using that opportunity to write the Salesforce Messaging Session ID in the External Tag field (among other places) as the conversation passes through Architect. That then allows us to search for a specific Salesforce Messaging Session ID in a list of Interactions via the External Tag.

Hi George,
Custom Participant data can be viewed in the Interactions Export with the Include Custom Attributes option selected. But it is worth remembering that an overnight pipeline run needs to have occurred to see these Attributes. You can look look in the individual interactions to see the Custom Attributes or multiple APIs: View participant data attributes.
There is an Idea on the Product Ideas Lab to include these Attributes in the Performance Views: Views: Add Column(s) to show Custom Attributes in Interactions View

Sam, once something is added as a Participant Data attribute on a conversation, what do you find to be the best way to include that attribute in a standard Performance view or report?

Hi Josiah,
You would need to assign the SF ID/Contact ID to Participant Data on the interaction to see this in the Interaction Reports. The best way to do this would be to add a Data Action to lookup the contact and then a Set Participant Data action to write it to the interaction in the flow. Here are a couple of links to the resource center:
Set Participant Data action and About the Salesforce data actions integration
Maybe someone else in the community has a better way of doing this.

We are using the SF integration and am curious if I can get the SF ID/ Contact ID into Genesys reports (an interactions report for example). We are already passing this info over to Genesys and I can see it is housed in the Contact lists. I would like to be able to have this in an interactions report as well for our data team when looking at down funnel results.
Thanks,
