In that instance, no you should not need that add-on license, but you will need to configure an oauth client for use with the managed package in order to perform the sync operations, and the API usage of that oauth client will be subject to the fair use provision of the Genesys Cloud Public API
https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/api-overage-charge.
It's also worth noting that the campaign management sync only synchronizes the final disposition of the contact list at the end of the scheduled campaign; it does not dynamically update the status of contact attempts while campaign is in progress. There are a number of reasons for this, but one of the main principles behind this is that campaign management is intended to be a compliment to the embedded client; the embedded client will create an activity record for every connected call, which can be linked back to the campaign to identify progress while the campaign is running.
As long as you're ok with these limitations, then your stated setup should work as you describe.

Hi Richard, one question. We have one customer with Genesys Cloud and Salesforce, but agents won't access Salesforce, they will use only Genesys Cloud, standalone. Salesforce will be only a repository for contacts to be dialed, and campaigns in Salesforce have to be sync'ed with dialer campaigns in GC, through standard Campaign integration included in Purecloud for Salesforce. In this particular case, does the customer need any Salesforce add-on license?
Thanks

The permission to enable access to the PureCloud for Salesforce client is gated by an additional product license on your PureCloud org. This product can be enabled by our PureCloud operations teams, but will require a conversation with your account representative, as there is an additional monthly charge per user that is billed. Once your PureCloud subscription is updated to include this additional license, you will be able to add the permission to a role so that all users with that role will have this license, and therefore be able to access the PureCloud for Salesforce client.

As per the PureCloud for Salesforce quick start video PureCloud for Salesforce - Quick Start| Wistia, Inc. | remove preview |
|
It says at 11:30 that the agents who are supposed to use click to dial should have Immigration > Salesforce > Agent permission. I can't find this permission in my PureCloud permissions for all roles.
Can anyone help?
