We have just signed a new Genesys Cloud CX customer using BYOC-C for SIP Trunking (100 Channels).  In their business, in emergencies, they could be flooded with thousands of calls consuming all 100 channels and eliminating any other callers trying to call in on other non-emergency numbers.  Can Genesys through the configuration of the trunking set a limit to the number of channels that will be used for a specific telephone number?  Would it be better to have the SIP provider configure two trunk groups of perhaps 40 channels and another of 50 channels?  The SIP carrier service does not support bursting.  Just looking to see what others have done.  Thanks.

    Happy Holidays Martin,
Hope all is well with you and yours - been a long time since we spoke.

I would setup another trunk to the carrier and use that for the 911 calls and then limit the other trunk to only 90 calls.  Then use the dial plan to limit use of each type of call.
