  • 1.  Specialist certifications - Study on Beyond and/or on the Resource Center?

    Posted 2 days ago

Hello! I'm currently studying for all the specialist certifications.

For those who have already earned some of them, do you think studying only in Beyond is enough to pass the exam, or should I also study in the Resource Center?

    Hi @Camila Meneghini

Beyond is a great starting point, but I recommend also reviewing the official documentation. Beyond covers the concepts well, while the Resource Center helps reinforce configuration details and real-world scenarios that often appear in the exam. Also, practicing in the platform helps a lot to better understand how the features work in real scenarios.

Beyond is good since it gives you a structured path. But I'd also recommend checking the Resource Center for more detailed explanations.

Another thing that helped me was exploring the features directly in my own org when possible. Testing things in practice makes it much easier to understand and remember for the exam.

I agree with Luiz and Thiago; I feel a big difference studying through Beyond, along with the articles from the Resource Center, and challenging myself by putting everything I can into practice on the platform.

For me, beyond and resource center must be used together to have a clearly undestood of topics. Most of the guides have resource center links that are really useful.

The one thing i would add is rather than simply study - use Genesys Cloud itself as a research tool.  Rather than just reading about a topic walkthrough it - familiarise yourself with the product.

There will always be the odd exam question which is about a specific detail buried away in the revision material, but I found walking throgh the process of creating an outbound campaign - and looking at what was needed at each step was very useful!

And whilst we all want those shiny achievements (and why not) - putting it into practice is where it rally matters!

    Hi Camila,

Practice helps a lot. That's basically how I prepared for most of my certifications.

Beyond is a good foundation and covers the essential concepts, but I'd also recommend spending time practicing directly in the platform whenever possible. Hands-on experience makes it much easier to understand how the features actually behave.

Another important point is that many exams still include fundamental concepts from the Genesys Cloud Professional Certification, so having a solid understanding of those basics is really helpful when studying for the specialist exams.

So in my experience, Beyond + hands-on practice in the platform works very well for preparation.
