Hi,
From my tests, it seems that FQDNs for Outbound SIP Servers are not resolved to respective SRV records.
Ways to re-produce :
- Create or edit an existing trunk on purecloud (Telephony/Trunks/External Trunks)
- Enter an FQDN that only has SRV records (under Outbound ---> SIP Servers or Proxies )
- mypurecloud fails to connect to the external SIP endpoint
Now if you create multiple A records for the same FQDN, integration with the "Outbound SIP Server" works. On top of that, it seems that mypurecloud detects the multiple A records and uses it to load-balance traffic across the remote endpoints. Also it seems that mypurecloud detects if there is an issue with one remote endpoint and fail-overs to the next one.
So, mypurecloud does not support SRV records for remote endpoints? If so, are there any plans to enable SRV support?
thanks

Hi,
The best place for that question would be the Genesys Cloud Community Forum. This forum is mostly focused on SDK and API development.
