    Hi everyone,

I just need a bit of help in order to get the next scenario: how can I get a weekend off (Saturday and Sunday) once a month?
    I have the next requeriments:
    • Work 5 days per week
    • Work 8 hours per day
    • Work 3 weekends in a month so once a month one weekend is off

I`ve just configured the whole week with optional days and also the constraints not to work more than 3 consecutive weekends, but I'm not getting the results that i need, because the scheduling motor assigns or not the weekend in every week.

Hope I could explain the scenario and get a way to resolve it.

    Thanks in advanced.
    Greetings,

    Laura.

Have you looked at using Workplan Rotation?  With this, you can set 3 weeks of the weekends and then one week of the weekend off.   Just repeat through that.

    Hi Robert,

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I was thinking in that possibility but at the same time i looking for a efficiency scenario when scheduling engine assigns the weekends ramdomly. But this option it is also a way to do it.

    Thanks a lot.
    Greetings.

    Morning Laura

As Robert pointed out Rotations are one method, adjusting the planning period to 4 weeks and using constraints around weekends would be another

There is a detailed guide here; https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/set-up-the-work-plans-weekly-configuration/

If you are scheduling every 4 weeks you can take advantage of the workplan constraints around weekends. Here you can specify how many weekends each employee should receive as part of that 4 week cycle.

    From the above guide:

    1. Click the Weekend Constraints tab.
    2. (Optional) Change the maximum number of consecutive weekends an agent can work:
      1. Select the Maximum Consecutive Working Weekends box.
      2. Use the arrows to select the number of weekends. In your case 1.
    3. Set up the work plan's planning period constraints. For more information, see the next section.
The caveat is that your planning period needs to be that 4 week length - if this is true you will be building schedules 4 weeks at a time and the system will automatically add employees to the weekend as per the requirements and your rules.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot Cameron for your recommendation but for some reason it is not working properly using planning period of 4 weeks and with weekend constraints, we also get two weekends off.
Additionaly we have the requirement to work 5 days in a row and rest two days in a row.
We are not getting the results that we need with this configuration. Only 'forcing' the configuration with rotations (a static scenario not optimized) we can get it, but we have to do reassignments manually, and we can avoid this.

We also got another question to consult in another thread so as not to mix topics.

Thank you for your help. We'll keep trying.
    Greetings.
