    Dear Genesys Community,

    We have recently implemented the Genesys native WhatsApp Outbound Campaign module to communicate promotional offers to our customers via WhatsApp. These campaigns are typically time-sensitive, and our marketing team often requests urgent broadcasts to be delivered to a large audience, usually over 100,000 customers within a limited number of days.

    my questions and would appreciate your expert guidance:

    Messages Per Minute (MPM) Recommendation

    What are the ideal Messages Per Minute (MPM) rate we should configure in the campaign settings to:

    • Optimize the total sending time

    • Ensure smooth delivery without overloading the system or causing throttling issues?

    We want to make sure our campaigns reach customers quickly but also avoid any negative impact on performance or delivery reliability.

    Any insights or best practices for troubleshooting and ensuring maximum delivery would be highly appreciated.

    Hello Mazin,

    1. You can begin with an MPM rate of 300-500 messages/minute for such a large campaign. Then gradually increase the rate if delivery remains stable. I've read use cases where users have also scaled to 1000+ (post successful testing only)
    2. Specific to a WhatsApp Campaign use approved message templates only & avoid peak-hours. Refer to create-a-whatsapp-campaign for more information.

    Also, It's worth coordinating with your Genesys account manager to ensure your environment is optimized for high-volume delivery for over 1 lakh customers.

       Greetings,

    first of all, Id like to thank you for your prompt response and valuable advice regarding the matter.

    we have currently increased the Messages Per Minute  rate to 200 and are closely monitoring the sending reports to ensure performance and detect any potential congestion issues. additionally, we have requested the Genesys team to verify that the environment is optimized for high volume message delivery.
