Handling Built-in Time Slots for Non-UTC Customers in Genesys Architect

When using built-in time slots such as builtin:time in Genesys Architect bot flows, the returned value is typically interpreted in UTC. This can create challenges for organizations operating in non-UTC regions, as the captured time may not align with the customer’s local timezone.
For example, a user saying “at 6” may be interpreted differently depending on how the system resolves the time relative to UTC.
A common approach is to capture the returned value and apply timezone adjustments within Architect using expressions or logic that converts the value to the desired regional timezone before processing it further.
