User Menu Accessibility Improvements – Before & After Overview
This document provides a before-and-after comparison of the User Menu, highlighting recent accessibility improvements.
The updates focus on enhanced readability, a clearer visual hierarchy, improved contrast, and more consistent interaction patterns. We have also placed special emphasis on supporting up to 200% zoom, improving usability for visually impaired users. Together, these enhancements are designed to make the menu easier to navigate and more inclusive for all users, while maintaining its original functionality and overall user experience.
There are no changes to existing workflows or features, only visual and usability improvements aligned with accessibility best practices.
Release Timeline
The updated User Menu is expected to go live starting May 4 (tentative), following the standard Genesys Cloud regional release schedule. As with all releases, availability may vary by region.
@Zoltan Juricskay - Any opportunity to get this enabled as a Beta on development orgs? We would like to obtain access to better prepare our end user training materials.
Please let me know if we can activate this on a Dev org as a beta feature.

We’d like to share an update regarding the release timeline for this feature. Due to a recently identified issue in an unrelated area, we need to postpone the underlying release to ensure everything meets our quality standards.
The new tentative general availability (GA) date is May 25.

To clarify: we start the GA release on the week of May 18 (tentative) following the regular Genesys release schedule.

After carefully reviewing customer feedback regarding the original timeline, and taking into account upcoming holiday periods in certain markets, Genesys has decided to postpone the General Availability (GA) of the User Menu accessibility enhancement.
The updated GA date is May 18 (tentative).
We appreciate your feedback and continued engagement, which help us ensure a smoother rollout for all customers.
Can we be more assertive of the release week? It is 2 weeks away from now and would like to manage the internal comms based on confirmation.

Would it be possible to provide screenshots without any red dotted lines (highlight), we try to avoid that for internal communications.
