  • 1.  Is it possible to auto-launch a Client App when an agent logs into Genesys Cloud?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm developing a custom Client App (using the Standalone or Widget type), and I'd like it to launch automatically as soon as the user logs into Genesys Cloud-without requiring the agent to click on the app icon manually.

    Is there any supported way to do this, or a workaround (e.g., setting a default display type or trigger on login)?

    If not currently supported, is this feature on the roadmap?

    Hello,

    There  is unfortunately no supported way to launch automatically a client app (standalone or widget).

    I don't think there is any related feature in the roadmap.

    You can create a web shortcut that includes the app address for folks to use during login.

    For example, a shortcut that points to https://apps.mypurecloud.com/directory/#/apps/c5661aa8-xxxx-498d-xxxx-ba2b0d512d40 first goes to the login dialog then to the app URL.

    I've also set it up using SSO login with the app address as the redirect after authentication.

    (This is for apps you access under the Apps drop-down menu in GC)
