  • 1.  Need input regarding to the managed phone configuration(Polycom)

    HI All

    We have a on premise Edge solution and planning to configure the Polcom VVX201 phones. But we have noticed that we have to manually configure everything on hardware phone like adding line keys, sip configuration, DNS enteries, SNTP etc.

    Please let me know if this is normal , since i assume that managed phones are supposed to register automatically once we define mac address in genesys cloud.

    To automate the work you can use ZTP (the better option for polycom: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/polycom-zero-touch-provisioning-requirements/) or you can use DHCP option: https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/phone-provisioning-dhcp-dns/, https://help.mypurecloud.com/articles/manually-configure-the-provisioning-information-for-the-polycom-vvx-phone/#TS-VVX

    Thank you for response, ZTP cannot be used for regulation issues. Can you please confirm below is mandator in DHCP server for auto discovery and provisioning:

    Yes!!

    If you don't use ZTP, you need to use the "DHCP option" to automate the process of provision.
