    Hi Forum expert's, While activating the Org. is there a restriction for certain format of Org. name ? Also do we need to maintain a limitation of alphanumeric digit count ? 

    I am safely assuming that a Partner can pick any name of his/her choice while activating the Org. 

    Please guide.

    There is no real limitation, but remember if you don't use SSO or you need to log in locally, you will need to type this in.  I had one customer that defined their name as the 12 word name of their organization including the "the" and the city, state, and county.  They regretted that from day one when someone left out an of or the or fat-fingered the purpose of the organization.  Keep it simple and something people won't mess up.
