In a prior article, we announced our launch for SMS Alphanumeric SenderIDs (ASIDs). We are now expanding that reach, extending support in two markets while adding support for two additional:
Extending Support: UK and France
In the UK and France there are two classes of ASIDs, unprotected and protected. Our original release included support for unprotected ASIDs which are those that do not require special registration. We are now able to support protected ASIDs which are those that do require special registration and approvals for use. Protected ASIDs require additional approvals to insulate government agencies, financial institutions, or large brands from having their brands utilized for undesirable phishing schemes.
New Country Support: Italy and Japan
We can now offer support in both Italy and Japan. While there are registration requirements in Italy, ASIDs can be provisioned for use in Japan without prior approvals.
