    What is the character limit for a Copilot Summary? Our customer reports that their summaries can be quite large even when selecting the concise option. The CRM they are exporting the summary to has a 900-character limit, and they would like to know if there is a way to set a limit on the summary's character count.

    The definition of Concise is as follows, but what is the character limit?

    • Concise: The system generates a summary that contains fewer words and only critical details.

    Hi Martin,

    It looks like it is 20000 which is a limit in the snip for the word counter post that was posted a couple of weeks ago. We are in a similar boat to you where our CRM has a limit of 1000 characters. We are looking to use a custom prompt to limit this in the new feature enhancement that's coming on 5th Nov 2025.

    Deepa, thanks for the quick reply. The new feature enhancements you mentioned are these: the Advanced Summary Customization mentioned in the roadmap for later this year?

    yes - that's the one. Advanced summary customisation where we can add prompts. I think this feature is coming on 5/11/25
