That's a fairly generic error that indicates that Genesys Cloud is unable to access the internet due to some proxy issue. There are a number of internet resources for troubleshooting proxy issues that might be beneficial. I'm unsure how your organization is administering your Genesys Cloud installations but it could be that there are registry entries installed by your organization's IT to configure the proxy server for Genesys Cloud and that whatever proxy configuration is being configured is not working correctly. You can take a look at the registry entries in registry edit and look in Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Interactive Intelligence\Purecloud\Directory. If there's one called ProxyServer that's what being used... either correct it or, if it's unnecessary, delete it.

Hey Folks,
Wondering if anyone has experienced an error like this before - With the Desktop application, in only 1 of our 17 retail locations this error is causing the Desktop Application to be useless. Just wondering if any ideas as to the cause - I don't believe it to be Genesys specifically .. but curious is anyone else has seen this.
We are working on troubleshooting and have a case open for support.
