Genesys Community Monthly Newsletter (November 2019)

Hey there,

The Genesys Community is about to hit a milestone and cross 1-million page views! Now is a great time to get in on the action, and we've made engaging with Genesys experts and fellow Genesys Enthusiasts easier than ever. In this month's newsletter, we cover:

  • Upcoming AMAs  Ask Me (our tech experts) Anything!
  • New Topic Tags "Connect with a Customer" and "Cloud Migration"

Ask Me Anything (AMA) events are popping up in the Genesys Community. From discussions on Holiday Scheduling to the Ideas Portals, we hope to find a topic that's right for everyone. 

Our next AMA is in the PureCloud community this Wednesday (Nov 13th) from 1-3pm EST, on the topic of Holiday Scheduling. It's a great chance for you to join our Technical Engineers and Product Management team members to ask your questions about current and upcoming functionality in PureCloud. Meet the experts here:
  • Gage Decker (Support Engineer - PureCloud's Architect and Routing)
  • Adam Firestine (Senior Engineer - Focusing on User Interface)
  • Rebecca Owens (Product Manager - PureCloud Self Service and Automation)
You may remember Adam and Gage from our Halloween episode of the PureCloud Q&A Show where we discussed Holiday Scheduling and a problematic bug that you can easily avoid. They will be available with Rebecca in the PureCloud Community during the AMA to answer your questions to guarantee that you are ready for the holidays.

What topics or experts are you most interested in? Email GenesysCommunity@Genesys.com to share your ideas. Our next AMA (as suggested by community member Markus), will be on the topic of the Ideas Portals. It's a great chance for you to meet the Ideas managers and understand how the system works.



We are excited to announce two new topic tags!

The first is available in all of the communities. We've noticed that some discussions are intended for Genesys Users to connect with each other to share how they accomplished something. We've created a topic tag just for this "Connect with a Customer".


The other next topic is just for the PureEngage On-Premises and PureConnect Communities. We understand that some of you may be considering migrating to the cloud but have some questions. Well our new "Cloud Migration" topic is a great way to ask any questions you may have.

Pro Tip - To connect with Genesys Users that have already migrated to the cloud, you may want to post in the PureCloud community and try the new "Connect with a Customer" topic. ;) 


The Genesys User Group For Customers has posted their upcoming webinar sessions for the year and they are still accepting members. Check out my post for a complete schedule and you can learn more about the group and how to join on their page.
