Genesys Community Rewards, User Groups, Industry Communities and More (Monthly Newsletter Aug 2018)

11-28-2018 10:48

Summer is cooling down and the quest for education is heating up, so it's a great time to share some exciting updates! Here's a quick rundown of what's new and coming soon from the community in September:

REWARDS AND RECOGNITION

We love the time that you put into visiting the community, asking questions, and helping other Genesys users are they grow in their use of the product. To that effect, we want to start rewarding our most passionate members.

GCAP
For the month of September, the community is partnering with GCAP (Genesys Customer Advocacy Program) to award GCAP points to some standout community members. How can points be earned through this promotion? By providing great content! It could be asking a thought-provoking question, posting a helpful reply, visiting the community regularly (requires signing in) or simply being a supportive and active community member. The winners will be selected by a panel of community admins and announced in next month's newsletter. If you want to nominate a fellow customer who has helped you out, feel free to email me. Until then, learn more about the GCAP program. It's free to join and easy to start earning points for valuable prizes.

Free Exam Giveaway

Additionally, the community is thrilled to announce that in September the Certification community, in collaboration with Genesys University, will host a contest where you can win a PureCloud or PureEngage Certification exam of your choice. All you have to do is join the community to enter the lottery! Genesys Certifications are a great way to gain more business value from your investment.

INDUSTRY DISCUSSIONS

The community has been a great resource for users dedicated to technical projects, but those hungry for industry discussions may have struggled to find a community that's right for them. To this effect, we are trying a few things out to provide dedicated spaces for industry discussions.

Workforce Optimization Community
A rose by any other name might be called WFM or WFO or is it WEM...or is that a wrestling federation? Regardless of your preferred acronym, a forum dedicated to the topic of Workforce Optimization is now available. As mentioned, you can keep your technical questions to the product-specific communities. This is a community for all users to come together, regardless of their Genesys product, to discuss how they are approaching the topics of Workforce Optimization, Engagement, and Management. This community will be moderated by Genesys Workforce Engagement Product and Marketing Team, and they look forward to sharing their insights and updates and learning from yours.

Genesys Casual
Since the last newsletter went out, a new community called Genesys Casual launched rather, well...casually. What's this community about? That's for us to determine. It was designed for topics that do not relate to a specific product line, so it's an ideal place to:

  • post classifieds,
  • discuss industry topics
  • share industry events
  • ask general questions about Genesys
  • introduce yourself, or
  • interact with other users
The big thing is that there's nothing too big or too small to discuss here; the benefit is that it exists for everyone to share and collaborate. Let's see where it goes.

GENESYS USER GROUP FOR CUSTOMERS

The User Group for Customers has been a great resource for PureConnect users for a few years and it has recently expanded to include thePureCloud and PureEngage platforms. You may have seen some of the User Group's upcoming sessions in the "Events" tabs for the various communities. These webinar sessions are hosted and organized by the user groups, members select what topics will be discussed in the upcoming sessions, and power users and product experts join the webinars to share their knowledge. Could it get any better? To attend these live sessions and view previously recorded meetings, you must first join the group. Don't worry, it's free to join and you can easily learn more about the program through the community here.

NEWS THAT'S NOTEWORTHY

There's a new Genesys Training Site available! A lot of my friends in Genesys University have been collaborating to revamp the training website and the results speak for themselves. Check out the new site to learn about some of the training options that may interest you or members of your team.

Genesys' Marketing team has launched a CX Heroes contest and they want to hear your hero's story. Three monthly winners will receive a CX Heroes swag bag and the grand-prize winner will be flown to Genesys' CX19 user conference in Denver, Colorado, and celebrated on the big stage. Will you be our hero?
