  • 1.  Difference between Inactive and Deleted for people

    Hello PureCloud Community

    I am wondering if you could please help to clarify the differences between inactive and deleting?

    Specifically, are there benefits of making someone inactive, rather than deleting them from PureCloud?

    It seems the data of deleted people and inactive people are still kept under 'People & Permissions" - 'People'.

    Hello,

    I am also curious about the differences between the two statuses.  We have always deactivated our old user accounts instead of deleting them, but recently have found that inactive Communicate users can perform nearly all functions that an active Communicate user can, so have been considering switching to deleting old user accounts instead.

    Hi Samuel,

    All our inactive people have kept the data and recordings, but cannot login.
    Inactive people are still on our active directory, but also disabled.
    You can still search for interactions ore make reports about inactive people.
    With deleted users i only can restore them in Purecloud, but without data.
    You can`t find any interactions ore making reports with deleted people.
    i think that`s the difference.

    Thank you very much for your reply.

    Please could you help me to find where I can run a report on the inactive extensions? In the performance interactions tab I found a check box with "include inactive users" and still looking how to include them within the report.

    I'd also like to know what reports will include the inactive users that are user specific? For example: Interaction Details Report - If the users are inactive, they aren't available to pick from that report...

    I tried to find a report for inactive users, but i think there isn`t one.
    In all the reports i only can find the active people.
    Wy do you want to make a report for inactive people as i may ask?

    Hope you are keeping well, and thank you for your response.

    I would like to run historical reports on queues and agents in periods where we have inactive agents, and wasn't sure how to find the settings in reporting.

    For example, an agent report on an inactive agent, or a Queue Metrics report, and if this includes inactive agents.

    Has anyone discovered how to prevent terminated employees from logging into PureCloud but still enable their metrics to be pulled via reports or through the Performance>Agent view?  Setting an employee's status to Inactive seems to prevent them from logging in but also prevents our reporting analysts from accessing their historical metrics.

    If a deleted person is restored, is it possible to get their performance stats from the period they were active?
