Hi,

We are trying to build a livechat and from the CometD documentation discussion, looks like it does not cover websockets at all.

Having researched the cometd.org, it is my understanding that it has full support of websockets. So we want to understand if we use the websockets

a) Is this going to be truly async in nature?  ie. we do not need to do any long polling?  

b) From a design perspective, what would the role be for FCM?  When would messages be pushed and what kind would be pushed into FCM?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
