  • 1.  Calender Items - Exceptions overwriting "Day off"

    Hello All,

First post here, hopefully someone has experienced this and resolved.

When updating the calendar items with a long term exception, such as Maternity leave, is there a way to prevent it from overwriting the days off when selecting a long date range?

Otherwise it exceeds the weekly working hours and increases expected exception hours.

    Thanks,
    Charmaine

    Hi Charmaine,

Are the agents on Rotating Patterns or do they have flexible shifts?
If their contracts or Rotating Patterns have a fixed weekly paid hours I would recommend adding the Exception in the calendar for just Monday to Fridays and it wwill schedule them on days off for the other 2 days.

If that doesn't answer your question, can you please expand more on the process you have in place.

    Hi Tracy,

They are on rotating patterns but the shifts/working days is different every week. If I schedule the exception Mon to Friday it will miss the weekend shifts when scheduled in.

    Thanks,

    Hi Charmaine,

I would recommend adding the exception Monday to Friday and Day Off at the weekends in the calendar and then when you know the person is returning to work. you delete the exception from the calendar and the rotating pattern would take over for the scheduling.
