Just as any other Java application. Remember that Tomcat is just a VXML generator for MCP.

Well, you need to think in your architure first, 32 or 64 bits apps? How many users/calls will load? Tomcat in load balance? How much time an application will be called?
Later you need to measure the cpu, memory, network stress of your application.
However as said, usually voice applications are more based on how many calls you expect and duration of them. Add RAM to it over 2x what genesys recommend for caps.
Your ASR and TTS engines, when in expected high traffic calls will be preferably in another server(s).
Your VXML applications are usually just consuming WS and not transactional processes that are heavy processing consumption. So, you should be fine.
If you have a problem you first will see it as memory consumption, so add more RAM or add another server to your load balance.
