  • 1.  Pulse 9.0 HTTPS

When upgrading to Pulse 9.0, I am able to get HTTP to work, however when switching to HTTPS I get the below error.  I am able to upgrade another environment and HTTPS do work.  I've compared the platforms and all seems fine. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue?

    HTTP ERROR 503
    Problem accessing /pulse/plugins/pulse/. Reason:

    Service Unavailable

    Hi Levester,
There is a known issue with Pulse 9 where it's impossible to configure HTTPs using Pulse only.

You would need to use your GAX 8.5 to encrypt your keystore password and carry the below parameters from gax.properties to your pulse_properties file.

    • keystore_password
    • https_port
    • supported_protocol .
    • keystore_path

The process is documented by Genesys customer care so you can get more details by opening a case if you like.

    Thanks Burak,
I have used that procedure and have HTTPS working on several areas using the information from gax.properties.  I have encountered this issue on one system.  Just was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue.

    Hi Levester,

I encountered some other https issues with some other Genesys products in my projects.
Some issues were about incoming https traffic, some were about outgoing https traffic.
In both cases I used a reverse http proxy, my preference is nginx. It saves the day until Genesys provides a fixed release.
Please keep in mind that this is not something "one size fits all", you need to work on the scenarios before applying such solution.

    Kind regards
    Gökalp
