I see a bunch of (very recent) support cases to delete recordings in bulk for customers. Apparently the modus operandi is to open a case with a list of the recordings to be deleted (or criteria for the delete), and dev will write a script and delete them.
The Jira issue that I found is closed (recently).
I saw a link for an Ideas issue, but I can't find anything in the Ideas Lab.

We currently don't have a way to bulk delete recordings. However, there is a project being targeted to begin in early 2018 that should address this very request.
