    Hello Juan,

     

    At this time there is not a way to send an email via a campaign. Can you elaborate a little more on the use case? I'm trying to narrow down which type of these ways you would like to send an email:

    1. A campaign that only sends emails.
    2. A field on the agent script where they can send an email.
    3. A campaign rule that would occasionally send an email when a condition is met.
    4. Or another type of use case.

    Hi Caitlin - thank you for the response.  In our business, we may need to send an email as follow-up to a phone call ?which would include information from the calling list along with generic attachments. 

     

    If an email could be sent allowing for the call agent to enter an email address (or one on file) as part of the call closing (maybe via wrap-up code) this would eliminate the need for manual email processing.

    Juan,

     

    Thank you for the description that helps to narrow down how we could accomplish this. We are looking at adding multi-channels (email and text messaging) to outbound currently and are building use cases right now for how it should work. I will link this example to our project. Like I said before unfortunately this isn't something we have right now but definitely something that we are looking into doing soon.

    Are you looking to have this be done in an automated way? In other words, would you want campaigns dedicated to sending email? Or are you looking for a way for an agent to send one manually through a script depending on the outcome of a call?

    Hi Chad - it would be the latter.  This would be an agent initiated email with some automation (if we had email address, and account specific data, etc).  The agent would have the option to fill in missing pieces, and terminate the call by sending the email.

    OK, thanks for the added information. That's not something we're currently set up for but it's nice to understand this use case for future development. We'll be looking at triggering certain call actions like terminating a call, etc. and this will likely come up as a possibility.
