We are also facing the same issue. We have an open ticket with support for more than two weeks. Below is their response:
There is an ongoing known issue on this matter and Dev is fully aware of the situation.
The Dev team is currently working for a permanent fix.
No ETA was discussed as of this moment.

The issue has been addressed to the developer and the solution will be rolled out this coming weekend. The new feature/release has been turned off and you need to refresh your browser or desktop to start using the old HTML editor.

Due to the update to Purecloud and the changes within the email, the spell check now no longer works (red squiggly line under the errored word).
Where doe this now exist or when do I need to go to switch this back on.
