If the image is hosted on the Internet (public) then you can insert the image into a Canned Response.
I use Chrome and here is what I do:
- Find an image on the Internet.
- Right Click - "Copy Image" (not Copy Image Address)
- Go to the Canned response in Genesys Cloud that I want to add the image to
- Right Click - Paste
The strange thing is that when I did this before, I could Save the response with only the image in it (i.e., no text). Now, I have to add text so that Genesys Cloud "detects" that I have added content to the Response and then enables the Save button.
SOME NOTES:
I've only tested this with .jpg, .gif, and .png. Not sure if .svg works.
You DO NOT have any control over the image format (e.g., width, height)
Here's a picture of the email I received in Outlook:

Currently it is not possible to include images in canned responses. The ability to include images in emails is still relatively new. We've had customers use canned responses and then manually add images to the email

Able to copy paste, but when you try to save the canned response after copy pasting an image into it, it doesn't work.
I get an error message saying 'Error Saving Response'
Has it worked for anyone?
Thanks in advance

Hi, you can paste images into the canned responses or are you looking for some different functionality?
That is, you can right click on an image, click copy, then in the Canned Response edit window, right click and then select paste.

We're still wanting to do it and at this point it looks like we may be able to take this on in 2020.

Thanks Lucie. Any update on if this is still a viable future option?

It's a future roadmap item. We don't have a specific timeline for when we would add this functionality, but most likely not in 2018.

Is there now (or will there be) an ability to add pictures to canned responses?
