  • 1.  SMS Data Action - Sender name

    Hey guys, 

    Hoping somebody could help. I have a data action which will trigger a SMS message. I was wondering instead of putting in a phone number when the customer receives the text, i want my company name displayed on the text message. What kind of string would possibly work? It also needs the phone number of the SMS there too. 

    would appreciate any help

    No, that API does require an e.164 formatted number.  Now, each outbound number can be tagged with a company name that can be passed to the carrier, but they may or may not display it.  10DLC has all that in the spec as well.  Now with the Twilio API, it will allow you to specify that and to also send logos and verified by Twilio commands.  Not sure if the future Twilio integration with Genesys Cloud will allow for that.
