How to change the CIC 2017 R2 computer name and domain name?

For the PureConnect core servers (IC servers), the "official" stance on changing the host name will require a complete uninstall and reinstall of the PureConnect application. While there are options in Setup Assistant regarding "Rename DS", it does not account for a host name change. In earlier versions of IC, CIC 4.0, it was possible to pick your way through and clean it up but the latest versions add complexities that cannot be entirely accounted for. For production environments, I definitely recommend either not changing the host name or if required, uninstall and reinstall of PureConnect to assure a clean server state.

Domain membership changes can be accommodated more gracefully, updating identity(Setup Assistant) references where applicable.
