  • 1.  Changing Team Name

    Morning All

    One of our teams wishes to change their name (re-brand) and I just wanted to ask, if I update queues names and their division to reflect this will any references in Architect be automatically updated?

    Remember that ALL names in Genesys Cloud are just attributes on the objects.  Everything is referenced behind the scenes as the GUID for the object with attributes for things like name and other items. Ain't your PureConnect anymore where you couldn't even change the name of queue or users.

    I believe the only object you can't rename in Genesys Cloud is an ACD Skill - these currently need to be re-created if there's ever a name change.

    But yes, having everything based on a GUID is so much easier than it was in PureConnect!

    Only thing to watch out for is if you change a queue name and if in your routing you also use the Find Queue by name action, you need to update that flow with the updated name as well.
