  • 1.  Sip Phone Creation

    According to documentation 

    after saving the phone I am getting Non-operational This phone has not recently registered with Genesys Cloud.

    Now I want ask

    • Is there any missing step? or any Prerequisite setting?
    • how I can assign sip phone to the user? Is there any installation need for SIP phone like Soft phone.

    Three thing wrong here.

    1. You should be creating WebRTC phones for your users and assign them individually to users (create a quick base template first)
    2. Generic SIP is only for SIP phones that are not supported in the cloud and require a local Edge device to connect them to Genesys Cloud.
    3. Base settings are not phones - you apply base setting to phones when you create them.

    Let me know if that gets you started.

    Can you help me out to configure the MicroSIP with Genesys? Actually, I am new with genesys.

    Hi Uzaire, I don't know about MicroSIP but there are a couple of threads in here around using Zoiper/Bria as the SIP softphone.  Just be aware as Robert says of the usual use case for those and what you're actually trying to archieve.

    What's the reason you're looking to use MicroSIP instead of just WebRTC?
