I'm trying to see if there's a way we can view update history for external contacts. I've used the Audit Viewer and the Audit API to no success. I also created new profile fields to see if that's what the audit returns but still no results.
What is the purpose of external contacts in the audit viewer?
Currently, the Audit Viewer will show actions performed on External Contact schemas, which can have wide ranging impact.

The system does not currently provide more granular visibility into actions performed on individual External Contacts. However, this is an item that I am investigating.
