Sometimes, when our callers dial an extension, they hear a message saying "Please wait while I locate that person." Someone at Genesys verbally told my CEO that we just needed to activate the "follow me" feature. Where is it? How do I activate? Thank you!
The prompt and feature you describe are part of Customer Interaction Center (CIC), so it sounds like part of your company is on PureCloud and part on CIC (that's just a guess based on what you describe).
That feature is not yet available in PureCloud.

Hi George! Do you know if this feature or something similar will be available in PureCloud soon? Last I read, personal rules and follow-me were tentatively slated for Q4 of 2017. We really need this feature.
