Can you clarify the functionality gap that you perceive between iOS and Android?

“We need to be able to account the metrics for calls on the PureCloud mobile apps. Currently in iOS, it sends the call to the native iOS Phone app, and does not have the option to start the call through the Collaborate network. The Android app allows you to select whether the call is through the Collaborate network of directly through the cell carrier. When calls are done directly through the cell carrier, the call metrics are not accounted for in PureCloud. This is a limitation of the iOS app not having the option to conduct the call through PureCloud collaborate network. What is the timeline for the iOS app to have the ability to conduct the call through the PureCloud Collaborate network?”

The iOS PureCloud Collaborate app does allow for starting calls that are routed through the PureCloud network for Communicate customers. However, the terminilogy used in the app for doing so is currently different than on the Android app. Within the iOS app, a call that uses the PureCloud network is referred to as "Call+" whereas a call that uses only the device's cell carrier is referred to as "Call". In order to initiate a Call+, a user can slide open the navigation menu (by selecting the menu icon at the top left of the screen) and choose the Calls menu option which will navigate to the Active Calls screen. From the Active Calls screen, tap the + icon in the top right of the screen to open the Call+ composer where participants may be added to the call. Finally, the call can be started by tapping the Dial button.
