  • 1.  API Calls clarification

    Good day all,

    How I understand API calls is, any cll into the Cloud API is an API call and subject to FUP etc.
    But if I am making a call to an External customer DB to check/pull CLI, customer info, would this action count as an API call and count towards total API calls FUP and possibly be billed?

    Hi Dewald,

    Data Actions to external systems do not count towards the API Fair Usage policy. They are actually contained in the IVR Routing Fair Usage policy but that is based on minutes rather than API calls.

    As a side note, calls to Data Tables (if done using the Data Table option rather than API direct) do not add to the API count.
