  • 1.  Make Callers Anonymous

    Hi All, does anyone know if there is a way to force a callers Remote name and number to become Anonymous? 

    Situation, we would like to make a "reporting hotline" that only shows the callers as anonymous. No ANI or Remote name to show up on any part of the call, and the caller can leave a VM, so we do not want there to be a "callback" number associated either. 

    Short of telling the caller to call back in by dialing *67 then the number, any other ideas?

    You could try to conference the caller into an IVR and have them leave a voicemail.  It might show up the system OLI and not the caller's ANI.   The other way would be to have a SIP trunk that blanks out the incoming ANI and Name separate from your normal trunk and have them call that or transfer to that number in the normal IVR.
