Hi everyone, I have a question about setting up an Audiocodes FXS gateway on Genesys Cloud.  I found this article that explains how to set this up: Add an analog fax machine to the Genesys Cloud telephony system - Genesys Cloud Resource Center

When I do this, I am unable to get the phone station in Genesys Cloud to register to the FXS endpoint on the gateway.  In a packet capture, I see the gateway send the registration message to the edge, and then the edge responds back with a 404 message.  I double checked that the Line Appearance ID on the station in Genesys Cloud matches the endpoint phone number in the gateway, but I'm still not having any luck getting it to register.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get this to work?

Just to confirm, you do have local Edges?  Did you check protocol?

Hi Robert, thanks for the reply.  Yes, these are local Edges and I have both the Edge and the FXS gateway set to use UDP port 5060.

Things to check: 

• Is the Default SIP Phone Trunk added to the interface on the Edge?
• Do you have the IP of the Edge devices in the ACL of the SBC?
• Do you have the interface gateway set?
• Are you seeing anything in the Edge Logs?
• Try setting name, user, and password to be all the same number/name.

Hi Robert, thanks again for your help with this.... I double checked all of your suggestions and then realized that the default SIP Phone trunk was using port 8060 and the gateway was sending to 5060.  When I changed the port on the gateway, the registration came through as expected.
