  • 1.  Passing an Authorization cookie with a soap request

Hello everyone, I am looking for a way to pass an authorization cookie through a soap request using handlers and I couldn't find anything related to this in the documentation. Is there a way we can do this using handlers. Thanks.

Not sure it is much help...but here is my thought... Most everyone talks about needing to modify the HTTP header to add the cookie. Example at https://developer.salesforce.com/forums/?id=906F00000008v1VIAQ The SOAP HTTP Request tools (you should be using the latest version, Ex3) all have an Additional HTTP Headers parameter. So, you would need to add a new parameter there for your cookie in the HTTP header (as opposed to the SOAP header). Beyond that...I don't know of anyone who has done what you are attempting. Perhaps someone else out there has better advice.

Thanks for the reply george. Unfortunately that method did not work. It would be helpful if someone who implemented this can give any suggestions.

This may, or may not, be of help... 2017R1 (due out fairly soon, I believe) contains some goodies for Handlers, including new tools for REST and support for SSL (https:// to the rest of us!) I haven't checked, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Authentication and Cookie support being there.... HTH
