Hello everyone, I am asking here because I can't find a related configuration, release note, help article, community post, or anything even vaguely related to this.
Any Number that after going through Dial Plans ends up with 10 digits, be it ANI or DNIS, gets automatically converted into a US E.164 number
These are local 9 digit numbers that need to be dialed with a number (Not every number will need the 9, so it can't be added in the trunk)
The numbers dialed are 909XXXYYYY -
In fact they are being dialed with a prefix which gets removed by the DialPlan (With a prefix a number would be 998909XXXYYYY, dial plan converts it to it's form 909XXXYYYY.
However, and this is important, because it's not exclusive for this situation.
This happens on any organization (We are a Genesys Partner and we manage a couple dozen)
on ANY numbers that are received from the PSTN with 10 digits (or after being manipulated in dial plan end with 10 digits).
This happens to ANIs and DNISes.
The Sites of this example are configured for Uruguay and the UK, with corresponding locations.
The organization is located in South America, so why does Genesys Cloud assume that a 10 digit number is a US number, and how can it be stopped?
This causes all manners of issues, from reporting to call history incorrectly labeled.
How can we change this behavior?
Regards
